You know it's summertime when the Indian Blankets bloom. You can see them pointing their beautiful faces up to the sun throughout Bald Head Island while the weather is warm, which is typically May through September.

Barbara Younger celebrates the scenery and traditions of Bald Head Island in these whimsical paintings. Each one has a creative title and tells a bit of a story. The viewer gets to figure out what happens next!
A new artist, Barbara has sold over 100 paintings in the last two years through galleries, art shows, and her online presence. Her “Toys Escaping” series was commissioned by the Orange County Historical Museum as part of their antique toy exhibit in her hometown of Hillsborough, NC.
